This seven-volume series invites preschool through 6th grade children to discover God, themselves, and one another through our sacred stories. Based on Jerome Berryman’s work in the Montessori tradition, Godly Play uses a careful telling of scripture stories, engaging story figures and activities to encourage children to seek and find answers to their faith questions. Godly Play respects the innate spirituality of children and encourages curiosity and imagination in experiencing the mystery and joy of God.

About Godly Play Resources
Godly Play Resources was founded by brothers Jerome and Tom Berryman to supply certified materials for the Godly Play classroom. Godly Play Resources provides work and inspiration to a number of artisans, carpenters, and craftsman living in and near Ashland, Kansas.
Godly Play Resources handcrafts many of
the materials from solid wood. In a
world of disposable plastic
toys and virtual
video-gaming,
children
delight in the
heft and
touch of these authentic objects and forms. For
most, the warmth of real wood deepens the Godly
Play experience
Other Godly Play materials are created in the casting
studio. Bronze and other materials add another
visual, tactile and emotional dimension.
In addition to the wood and cast items, Godly Play
Resources offers richly envisioned visual materials,
such as the figures for Good Shepherd and World
Communion and the prints for The Seven Faces of
Christ. From watercolor to tempera to computeraided
graphics, a variety of artistic media supports
the Godly Play stories.
