The leading lectionary-based curriculum that helps bring the weekly readings alive for all ages.
For close to three decades, Living the Good News (LTGN) has provided Christian churches with up-to-date Christian education resources based on the ancient cycle of Bible readings known as"the lectionary."LTGN is available for seven age-levels (from nursery through adult), each published three seasons of the church year (fall, winter, spring), allowing all ages in the church to study the same Biblical passages each week.
Two versions of Living the Good News are available, one for the Catholic Church and an RCL version, for use by churches using the Revised Common Lectionary (these include Episcopal, United Methodist, Lutheran, Presbyterian, United Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, and others).
Please note a couple of major changes for the 2010-2011 year:
- The addition of a Multiage Leader's Guide - supporting the growing number of Sunday schools who organize their classes across age groups. This is a great resource to have if you have multiple age groups in one classroom (for example, all of your children together) or an intergenerational classroom with children, youth and adults studying together.
- A virtual library of downloadable content to support your weekly lessons- these are free with LTGN and include important supplemental material, such as:
- PowerPoint slides for personal growth and teach training
- Denominational links
- Activities and articles (faith formation, the arts, the Church Year, the sacraments, and more)
- Deeper Bible backgrounds
- Articles on church history
- Additional activities for all age levels
- And much more!
